HOST DORMITORY (Suite style on-campus housing)
WILLKIE RESDENCE CENTER
For those seeking economical, air-conditioned, single room lodging, a block of rooms is available for FOOD IN BLOOM participants in Willkie Residence Center.

*NOTE: The shuttle drop off from airport is Wilkie.

Wilkie will provide linens ( 2 sheets, 2 towels, 1 pillow, and 1 pillowcase) no washcloths. They also provide parking permit.

Location
Willkie Center is located on the east side of campus – a 10 - 12 walk to most conference activities.  As a point of reference, downtown Bloomington is located on the west side of campus. The walk from Willkie to downtown Bloomington is approximately 20 minutes.  Free campus bus service is available.  Taxi service in Bloomington is moderately priced for those who prefer not to walk.

Room Description
Willkie Center features “suite style” housing.  All rooms are singles with two single rooms sharing one common bath.  Each room has its own private entry to the bathroom.  When occupied, each person may secure the door so that the other party may not gain entry.  All rooms are air-conditioned, have wall-to-wall carpeting, a bed, dresser and desk with overhead and desk lighting.   The rooms are simple, functional and unusually attractive for what is typically available for ‘dorm’ housing.

Linens including 2 sheets, lightweight coverlet, pillow, pillow case and small towel are provided.  We recommend that you bring your own large bath towel.  It is your responsibility to provide your own toiletries.

You may select your suite mate or we will assign you a same gender person with whom you will share a bath (see the ‘housing’ section of the Conference registration form for suite mate selection option)

ADA accommodations are available.  Any special needs must be indicated on your housing registration form so that we may properly prepare for your arrival.

Internet Access/Phone Service
Free wireless internet access is available in Willkie Residence Center.   No telephones are available in Willkie rooms.  Please plan to bring a cell phone.

Cost
The cost for housing at Willkie Residence Center is:  $48.00/room/night + 12% tax

Reservations
The option to reserve a room at Willkie Center is included on your on-line conference registration form.  All Willkie reservations must be made through the central registration process and cannot be made directly by contacting the Center.

Deadline for Reserving a Room at Willkie Residence Center:  Monday, May 17, 2009

Cancellation of reservations
Cancellations will be honored if submitted in writing before May 17th.  Email your request to: iuconfs@indiana.edu.  You will be responsible for payment of dorm room charges if you cancel reservations after May 17th or if you decide to cancel while on-site.  Please understand that Willkie is a residential housing center and does not offer the features and flexibility of hotel.
